The Fairland Lions Club is hosting the 17th Annual Dr. Bill Goodman Golf Tournament, the $1,000,000 Hole-in-one, the $5,000 Putting Contest and the Hole In One for a Car.

The tournament will be held at the Peoria Ridge Golf Course, located just East of Will Rogers Turnpike on Saturday, April 22. The tournament is a 4-Person Team scramble, with individual competitive events, and a Pink Lady team competition.

The entry fee of $70 per player includes Fees, cart use, lunch, treats, prizes, and other amenities.

The $1,000,000 prize for a hole-in-one at a designated hole is being sponsored by Indigo Sky, the Eastern Shawnee Tribal Casino west of Seneca. A $5,000 prize putting contest is being sponsored by Outpost Casino and a Hole In One for a new car by the Vance Auto group.

The putting contest consists of a “Three Putt Combination Format.” Every tournament player may participate in this stand-alone putting contest and will be allowed one attempt to hole a 10 foot putt; if successful, allowed one attempt to hole a 30 foot putt, and if successful again, allowed one attempt to hole a 50 foot putt for the $5,000 prize.

Since there can only be one $5,000 winner, if more than one player is successful at the 50 foot putt, a “putt-off” will be conducted to determine the final winner.

Players need to be at the golf course to sign in by 8:00 a.m. The putting contest starts immediately after sign-in. enjoy some coffee and donuts with team members and get in a little practice. before the event gets underway with a shotgun start at 9:00 am. Rain date for the tournament is Saturday, April 29.

Businesses and Professional establishments throughout the Tri-State Area contribute to the fund raising success of the tournament as sponsors of “holes” along the course layout and by donating prizes. Proceeds are used to provide youth projects, community improvement projects, eyesight needs, and emergency relief assistance in Northeastern Oklahoma.
