Grove's junior high golf teams have gone one and two at Pryor.
On Thursday, April 13, the teams headed to Pryor to compete in the Pryor Invitational Tournament. The tournament wraps up the season for the teams.
Grove's girls team played nine holes and finished in second with 224 points. Coweta won the tournament with 223, while Hilldale took third with 232, followed by Pryor with 236 and Keys with 245.
The Lady Red's Ashlyn Athey led the team with 49 strokes, earning the second lowest score of the day. Whitney Blessing had 54 strokes to finish in fourth overall. Lindsay Caudill had a score of 58, followed by Lynzy Luu with 63 and Victoria Cunningham with 67.
Grove topped the eighteen hole tournament, with a score of 367. Coweta placed second with 390, followed by Hilldale (402), Keys (438) and Tahlequah (443).
The Ridgerunners had a tie for first between Jacoby Riggs and Owen Wilson. Both athletes scored an 86 and played off on the #1 hole. Riggs would go on to win and Wilson would finish in second. Riggs took first overall and Wilson took second overall.
Carson Henegan finished with 97 strokes, followed by Zach Decker with 98 and Kelton Woods with 121.
This concludes the junior high golf season.
