Grove hosted McDonald County and Rogers Providence during alumni weekend. 

The first game on Saturday, April 15, was against the McDonald County Mustangs and the second was against the Rogers Providence Patriots. 

Grove 5, McDonald Co. 4

The Mustangs scored the first run in the top of the fourth. McDonald Co. would go on to score three runs in the inning. 

Grove answered in the bottom of the fifth with two runs from Chase Kreutz and John Downs. 

The Mustangs racked up another run in the sixth. 

The Ridgerunners scored two runs again, this time from Braxton Pennington's courtesy runner, Calin Craig, and Chat Hayes. Dillan Miller would score again in the bottom of the seventh to make the final score Grove 5, McDonald Co. 4. 

Zane Knox had two hits during the game, while Miller, Pennington, Hayes and Kreutz all had one. 

Miller, Pennington, Hayes and Kreutz each had one RBI.

Toby Cearley pitched six innings, throwing 104 pitches, allowing five hits, four runs, walked two batters and earned three Ks. Phoenix Brixey took over in the final inning, throwing fourteen pitches, allowed one hit and earned one K. 

Providence 13, Grove 1

The second game of the day did not go the Ridgerunners way. 

The Patriots scored four runs in the first. 

Grove answered with a single run from Tyler Davis. 

Then Providence scored three runs in the second, three runs in the third, two runs in the fourth and one run in the fifth. 

The game ended with a score of 13-1, Rogers Providence. 

Davis, Pennington and Downs all had hits in the game and Pennington had one RBI. 

Kretuz, Cade Coble and Cole Diesing combined for 131 pitches, allowed fourteen hits, thirteen runs, walked five batters and earned four Ks. 

The team plays again at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18, when the Ridgerunners host Vinita.
