A variety of Easter Egg Hunts will take place throughout the Grand Lake region this weekend. Here's a look at what's ahead for students.

Grove's First Baptist Church

Volunteers with Grove's First Baptist Church will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 15, at the church 501 East 13th Street, Grove.

The event will include thousands of eggs filled with candy, prizes and tickets for larger prizes. Children up to fifth grade can bring their Easter baskets to pick up eggs. There will be a designated area for different age groups. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m.

Immanuel Lutheran Church

The congregation at Immanuel Lutheran Church will host an Easter Egg Hunt for the community at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 15, at the church.

Disney Assembly of God

Volunteers at Disney Assembly of God will host a community Easter Egg Hunt at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 15, at 313 East Wall Street, in Disney, across from the Disney Post Office.

More than 1,000 eggs filled with candy will be hidden, along with one "prize" egg per age group. For more information, contact 918-435-4512.

City of Jay Easter Egg Hunt

The City of Jay's Easter egg hunt will take place at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 15, at the city park. Registration will begin at 9 a.m., with the first hunt starting at 10 a.m., and continuing every 15 minutes.

Times include: 0 to 2 - 10 a.m., 3 to 4 - 10:15 a.m., 5 to 6 - 10:30 a.m., and 7 to 10 - 11 a.m. Prize drawings will take place at the end of each hunt.

Twin Bridges Hunt

Volunteers with Grand Lake State Park - Twin Bridges will host an Easter Eggstravaganza at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 15, at the state park.

It will include pictures with the Easter Bunny and an Easter egg hunt.

Twin Bridges State Park is located six miles east of Fairland or five miles south of Miami at the junction of Highway 137 and Highway 60. For more information, persons interested may call the park office at 918.542.6969.

Bernice Nature Center Hunt

An old fashioned Easter Egg Hunt will take place at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 15, at Grand Lake State Park-Bernice Nature Center, on Grand Lake.

The event, for children of all ages, will give parents and grandparents a chance to have their child's picture taken with Peter Cottontail. More than 3,000 candy and toy filled eggs will be up for grabs. Students will be divided in age groups from ages 4 to 12 years old. The event will take place rain or shine.

Fairland Easter Egg Hunt

Members of the Fairland Fire Department and the Fairland Ministerial Alliance will host an Easter Egg Hunt beginning at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 15, at the Fairland City Park, 205-299 South Main Street, in Fairland.

The hunt is for children up to 12-years of age. Divisions include 0 to 3, 4 to 6, 7 to 9 and 10 to 12. A prize egg will be available in each age group.

Easter Bunny in Grove

The Easter bunny will visit the Muddy Pearl in Grove from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., on Saturday, April 15. The event is free and parents are encouraged to bring their cameras to snap a memory.

The congregation of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church will host an Easter Egg Hunt beginning at 11:45 a.m., following the 10 a.m. worship service.

Hunt at COS

Volunteers at Church of the Shepherd (COS) will host an Easter Egg Hunt, part of the “Big Easter” service on Sunday, April 16, at the church.

The hunt will take place following the 10:45 a.m. service.

Foundation Free Will Baptist Hunt

The congregation of Foundation Free Will Baptist Church will host an Easter Egg hunt on Easter Sunday, April 16, immediately after the morning service for children fifth grade and younger.

The Easter service begins at 10:30 a.m., with refreshments before the service.

St. Elizabeth Hunt

An Easter Egg Hunt will take place at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church on Sunday, April 16, following the 10:30 a.m. worship service, weather permitting.

Hunt at First Christian

Members of First Christian Church in Fairland will host an Easter Egg Hunt for students infants to fifth grade immediately following the 10:30 a.m. service on Sunday, April 16, at the church, 117 North Collins, Fairland. The event is free and open to the public.

Grove Easter Egg Hunt

Members of Group 33 Motorcycle Club and the Grove Ministerial Alliance will host an Easter Egg Hunt at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 16, at the Grove Sports Complex, 13th and Shundi in Grove.

The event is geared for students 1-year thru 12-years-old. Students will be divided into age appropriate groupings. The hunt starts right at 2 p.m., sharp.
