Grove Tennis has placed in the top three again. 

The Metro Lakes Conference Tournament was held in Claremore on Tuesday, April 11. The Lady Red placed second, while the Ridgerunners took third. 

Lady Red

Grove earned 25 points and was only beaten by Claremore, who earned a perfect score of 36.

1 Singles - Takoma Tanner defeated Collinsville (6-3, 6-3) and Skiatook (6-5, 7-6, 10-7), before falling to Claremore (6-0, 6-1). Tanner earned seven points for the team and won the Newcomer of the Year award. 

2 Singles - Selina Facio lost to Tahlequah (6-3, 8-6), had a bye round, then defeated Skiatook (6-0, 6-0). Facio earned four points for the team.

1 Doubles - Lacey Kerr and Tessa DuBois had a first round bye, then defeated Collinsville (6-3, 6-4), before falling to Claremore (6-1, 6-3). The duo earned seven points for the team. 

2 Doubles - Eliza Downing and Erica Elder also had a first round bye, then defeated Pryor (6-1, 6-0), then fell to Claremore (6-3, 6-3). Downing and Elder earned seven more points. 

Ridgerunners

Grove took third place with 23 points. Claremore took first with 34 points and Pryor took second with 24 points. 

1 Singles - Jeff Crawford lost to Tahlequah (6-4, 6-1), had a bye round, then defeated Skiatook (6-0, 6-1). Crawford earned four points for the team. 

2 Singles - Silas Rosiere defeated Collinsville (6-3, 6-4), then lost to Claremore (6-0, 6-1) and Tahlequah (6-0, 6-2). Rosiere earned five points for the team. 

1 Doubles - Reagan Morris and Braden Wadley had a first round bye before defeating Pryor (6-3, 6-2), then fell to Claremore (6-1, 6-3) in the finals. The duo earned seven points for the team and Morris was named to the All-Conference team.

2 Doubles - Mason Allen and Kenny Wright also had a first round bye, then the duo defeated Pryor (6-1, 6-0) and fell to Claremore (6-3, 6-3). Allen and Wright earned seven points. 

The teams were competing in the Henryetta Tournament on Thursday and Friday, April 13-14.
