COLUMBUS, KAN. – Officials with Crossland Construction Company have announced the recent appointment of Bennie Crossland to the Associated General Contractors of America Board of Governors.
He will serve a three year term. In this position, Crossland will assist in the definition of policy regarding the government of the AGC association.
“I’ve always considered it an honor to be of service to the AGC organization, and over the years, I’ve been involved with the group in various capacities," Crossland said." The opportunities that come with having AGC membership are vast and varied, and I believe it is important for firms our size to take advantage of those opportunities. It is a privilege to be part of their directional committee.
AGC serves as a representative partner with members of the construction industry. With approximately 32,000 members, the AGC organization is considered one of the most prestigious and influential institutions in the industry.
Their members construct commercial and public structures that promote the advancement of our country and improve the quality of life for Americans. From airports and shopping centers to highways, roads, and bridges, AGC advocates for those who build and maintain the infrastructure of the United States at both the state and federal government levels.
In 2016, Crossland assumed the role of Board Chairman for Crossland Construction Company, Inc. As chairman, he oversees the daily financial operations of the company. Further executive involvement includes the management, development, and expansion of Crossland’s Real Estate Division.
Today, Crossland and his executive leadership team direct the business and the 1400+ professionals they employ. Additional affiliations for Crossland include membership in the Metal Building Contractors and Erectors Association Pioneers Club, Director of Arvest Bank, Director of Bright Futures, and President of STOA Ministries International.
