The Ridgerunners have bested the Wagoner Bulldogs in Grove's third game of the season.
On Thursday, March 2, Grove fell to the Bulldogs 7-4, but the tables turned when the Ridgerunners hosted Wagoner the next day. Grove came back with a vengeance, outscoring the Bulldogs 7-1. The Ridgerunner's latest win puts their record at the 2-1 mark.

Although the Ridgerunners were unable to score in the first, Grove also held Wagoner scoreless. The bottom of the second was when the Ridgerunners got on the board.
Braxton Pennington was the first batter up and was walked to first. Chase Kreutz, the second batter, hit a single. The hit moved Pennington's courtesy runner, Davy Jackson, moved to third. After an out, Tyler Davis hit a double to center field. Both Jackson and Kretuz scored, putting Grove in a 2-0 lead.
Three Wagoner outs later, Grove was back in the batter's box.
The Ridgerunners first batter up struck out, then Toby Cearley reached first on an error. Zane Knox reached first on a bunt. Dillan Miller hit a fly ball and Cearley scored.
Pennington was walked again and the bases were loaded. Kreutz hit a line drive double, pushing both Knox and Miller across home.
With Pennington's courtesy runner, Jackson, on third and Kreutz on second, Davis was back at the plate. Jackson scored on an error and Kreutz scored on a wild pitch, making the final score 7-0.
Wagoner scored their lone run in the top of the seventh.
Pennington pitched all seven innings, throwing 92 pitches, 62 of which were strikes. Pennington allowed two hits, one run, walked one batter and earned nine Ks.
The Ridgerunners have traveled down to Gulf Shores, Alabama to play in the Gulf Coast Classic Tournament. Grove faced Tullahoma and American Christian on Monday, March 13, and Lee on Wednesday, March 15. The championship will be played on Thursday, March 16.
Grove will return to Oklahoma at the end of Spring Break. The Ridgerunners will take on Miami at 5 p.m. on Monday, March 20, in Miami.
