It was county split in the goat show at the 2017 Delaware County Spring Livestock Show on Friday, March 3, with Jay FFA exhibitor Mattie Haynes winning the grand champion goat and Grove FFA member Mia McCool coming in with reserve.

Haynes won with her class seven winner while McCool's top goat came from class eight.

McCool also won the intermediate showmanship while sister Maci McCool, Starr 4-H, was the top junior showman. Emily Knowles, Grove FFA. was the top senior showman.

Haynes was the reserve senior showman with Lila Sherman, Jay FFA, was the reserve intermediate showman. Alex Crittenden was the reserve junior showmanship winner.

Ronnie Huckaby, Leach 4-H, had the first place goat in class one Abigail Potter, Colcord FFA, tops in class two. In the class three Abby Duncan, Colcord 4-H, got the blue ribbon in class three.

In class four Tate Thomas, Moseley 4-H, came home with first place with Mia McCool winning class five and Haynes in six. Mia McCool also won class eight.
