A Grove city council special meeting will take place this week to allow city councilors to go into executive session to discuss a legal matter.
The meeting will take place at 4 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 24 at the Grove Community Center, Room 5.
Members of the council will vote to go into executive session where they will discuss with City Attorney Darren Cook a “pending investigation, claim, or action.”
The state’s Open Meeting Open Records Act provides for public bodies to discuss some items in an executive session or closed-door meetings.
Any action taken on the discussion in executive session must be held in the public portion of the meeting.
