Meet Chester, one of the latest cats available for adoption at the Second Chance Pet Rescue of Grand Lake.

Chester is one of the biggest boy cats at the shelter - and possibly one of the most rotten. 

Cats available for adoption with the fee based upon the animal's age. Cats under six months are $65, cats between 6 months and 6 years are $50 and cats over 5 years are $25.

Second Chance Pet Rescue of Grand Lake is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide safe refuge, nutrition, and veterinary care for homeless, abused, and neglected animals, to promote and assist with population control of unwanted dogs and cats, and to educate the public about responsible pet ownership in the four-state area it serves.

It is a life saving, no kill shelter established in 1984. Second Chance Pet Rescue is not affiliated with any national animal welfare organization nor does it receive any funds from city, county, state or federal government.

Second Chance Pet Rescue of Grand Lake is located on Highway 10, two miles east of the stoplight at Third and Main, in Grove.

Shelter hours are noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday to Friday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. After hour appointments are available at 918-786-7630.
