†The Delaware County Conservation District invites area residents to an Open House to be held at their Honey Creek Demonstration Farm, which is actually Jerry Davisís Double D Ranch, east of Grove.† The Open House will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29.†

†† Farm Owner Jerry Davis has worked with the local conservation district and the Oklahoma Conservation Commission to install a series of Best Management Practices (BMPs) that keep his pastures in good condition, his Beefmaster cattle healthy, and Cave Springs Branch of Honey Creek protected against pollutants.†

† Tours have been held at the Demonstration Farm for specific groups, but the event on the 29th will allow people to come out at their leisure to learn about the BMPs.†

†† Conservationists will be available to answer questions, and there will† be a session on the fish that live in Cave Springs Branch for those who are interested in the fish of northeast Oklahoma.

†† Earlier in the day, students from local schools will be treated to a tour of the demonstration farm.

† Reservations need not be made.† To get to the demonstration farm, follow HWY 10 east of Grove.† Highway 10 turns into HWY 25, continue east to 690 Road and go south two miles, then go east.† Farm is second driveway, south side of road.† Signs will be posted.
