Miami, Okla. (Tuesday, January 06, 2009) Adult Basic Education and General Education Development classes will be offered at no cost beginning Wednesday, January 14 at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College.  Instructors Leslie Maddox and Abbey Manders will offer these courses during daytime and evening hours to accommodate most schedules.  Maddox’s ABE/GED course will meet Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. beginning Jan. 14 and continuing throughout the semester.

Manders’ session will meet Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. beginning Jan. 20 and continuing throughout the semester. Both classes will meet in Room 204 of Ables Hall.  Each will require a minimum and maximum number of students, so pre-registration is encouraged.  Participants must be on time and in attendance for every session. Attendance will be necessary to fully understand the skills highlighted in the course.

NEO has partnered with the Vinita Regional Adult Learning Center to offer this course, which is grant-funded by the Lifelong Learning Section of the Oklahoma State Department of Education.
