The event name guarantees great flavor. But at Taste of Grand, a taste of musical excitement is also on the menu.

The Wavetones, who perform a show-stopping variety of tunes for all ages, will once again take the stage at the event, which takes place this year at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at the INTEGRIS Medical Plaza, 900 E. 13th St. in Grove. Taste of Grand is known for its mouthwatering menu prepared by local restaurants and vintners, and the Wavetones have earned a reputation for providing attendees an after-dinner course of pure entertainment.

Taste of Grand’s band sponsor is Grand Savings Bank, whose president, Mark Londagin, brought the first big name band to the event several years ago and has continued to provide support ever since.

The Wavetones’ forte is getting people dancing through the group’s diverse catalog that includes everything from classic rock ‘n’ roll to hits from the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s as well as many current dance tracks. In addition to favorites like guitar, keyboard and bass, the band also includes a horn section that adds a unique energy and sound to many popular songs.

Proceeds from Taste of Grand benefit the INTEGRIS Grove Hospital Foundation, a nonprofit organization that funds continuing advancements in local health care and medical treatments for those in need. Tickets are $80 and can be purchased at Grove banks or by calling (918) 787-3855. For further details, visit or e-mail . Taste of Grand is presented by Major Event Sponsor Bank of Grove.  Supporting sponsors include:  Grand River Abstract and Title, Grand Savings Bank, Precision Robins and Morton, Wireless Internet, and First National Bank.
