Grove Head Start participates in a yearly reading program called “Reading is Fundamental.”

RIF is a two-week program designed to encourage reading as well as family and community involvement.

Community and family members, parents, teachers and school-aged children volunteer their time to read books to the students.

After two weeks, between all three classrooms, Grove Head Start had 184 books read by volunteers and 173 books were read to the children at their homes.

There were a total of 357 books total.

This year’s program was very successful and the kids really enjoyed all the new faces.

Grove Head Start would like to thank all the volunteers and everyone who made RIF a success.
