Who said the winter months were slow around the Pond?

At the Chamber we are off and running with all the plans for the coming year. Last week we had a great presentation from the State Department of Tourism. Sandy Pantlik the director, travel and tourism division gave members all sorts of information about the new web site to help our area businesses the upper hand on attracting visitors to the Grand Lake Area.† This event was held at Oliverís Twist and we had a record crowd that enjoyed getting to see fellow members since we have not been together since November.

This was our new presidentís first membership meeting to preside over and Rusty Fleming talked about some of our plans for the coming year.† One item was that we would continue what president Judy Florida had started was making sure we had useful information for our members at each of these events.† We are planning the next one that will be on February 26th at Cherokee Yacht Club.† Please help and get your reservations in early so we can plan to have the right amount of food for those attending.

As I mentioned last week we are in the middle of your Total Resource Campaign and getting a great† response from many of our area businesses that what to take the opportunity to get the word out about the services they provide.† If you would like to learn about all we can help your company with just call the office 918-782-3214 and Kristal can set a time to visit with you about these great ways to communicate with members and the general public.†

The Tulsa Boast show is just a couple of days away and if your business is a member and you would like for us to display and distribute information about your business, now is the time to get that information to the Chamber office. The office will be loading up on Friday the 30th. So if you can not get it to us by then you can drop it by The Artichoke Restaurant on Saturday the 31st.† We will also be going to the NE Arkansas Boat and Travel Show February 19th thru 22nd, so this is another chance to get your information out to a different crowd and get new customers from that part of the area.

GRAND LAKE NIGHT AT THE TULSA BOAT SHOW WEDNESDAY THE 4TH!

Just a few seats left for a great way to have fun and get to the Boast show and back and leave the driving to us.† For just $35.00
