November is adopt-a-senior pet month at the Humane Society of Grove and Grand Lake, so there’s no time like the present to welcome an older dog or cat into your home.  The Humane Society Pet of the Week is Dottie - a 6 year old Doberman Pincher and she has a lot of love to give.  She would be very grateful for the second chance she would be given to fit into your family.  She has a mellow personality and has just the right level of playfulness for any busy family.

There are many benefits to adopting a senior pet.  The older dogs that come to us have either been abandoned or they’ve found themselves without home and family because their human companions couldn’t or didn’t want to keep them.  Life as they knew it has forever changed, and they are adrift in a world that often has no room for them.  You can change that!  If you have room in your home and heart for an older dog, consider adopting a senior pet from the Humane Society.

If you are interested in adopting Dottie or any other senior pet, please contact the Humane Society during office hours Tuesday-Thursday 12-6; Wednesday-Friday 12-5; Saturday 10-4 or you may view other pets available for adoption on www.humanesocietyofgrove.com.
