With twelve teams already signed up to participate in the 16th Annual Hook-N-Cookoff, there is still plenty of room for more. To enter a cooking team contact the Grand Lake Area Chamber of Commerce at 918-782-3214. Teams will be in competition for the best Catfish, Hushpuppies and Coleslaw. Awards are also presented for the best Presentation and the Spirit Award. The most coveted award is the People’s Choice Award presented for the most votes and money raised by each team. The event is scheduled for Friday & Saturday, September 25th & 26th at Pelican Landing Resort located 4-1/2 miles west of Ketchum.

Teams are selling $5 advanced tickets for tasting kits  or purchase them at the Grand Lake Area Chamber of Commerce located in Langley next door to Subway.  Tickets will also be available at the gate on the day of the competition for $6.

“The gates will open at 5:00pm on Friday with the exhibitors on display.  On Saturday the gates will open at 9:30 am with the cooking competition underway at 10 a.m., followed by the Tasting Frenzy from 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.  There will be plenty of time for spectators to visit an exhibit booth throughout the day,” said Jim Sellers, Executive Director, Grand Lake Area Chamber of Commerce.

Exhibit booth space is available for $50 per 10x10 space.  With over 2,000 people expected at the Hook-N-Cookoff, it is a great two-day show for exhibitors.

While enjoying the cookoff and looking for that special gift at the exhibitor booths, take some time to enjoy the musical entertainment from the featured band Lickety Split.  You can also meet Celebrity Guest Kristin Dickerson with Channel 8 News on Saturday.
