Congratulations to the Grove High School Concert Band for receiving three Superior Ratings at the OSSAA District Concert Band contests in performance and a Superior Rating in Sight Reading in Bartlesville on March 5th at the Bartlesville High School Performing Arts Center. The band performed two selections, a march “The Huntress” by K.L. King and an Overture, “Symphonic Journey No. 1” by Roland Barrett. The GHS Band qualified for the OSSAA State Concert Band Contest for the fourteenth consecutive year at Oklahoma State University on April 17. Congratulations Band! The band is directed by Mr. Joe Wilhelm and assisted by Mr. Ray Nimmo.

Congratulation to the Grove Middle School Band for receiving three Superior Ratings at the Oklahoma District Band Contest in performance and an Excellent rating in sight-reading at Bartlesville, Oklahoma on Tuesday, March 4, 2008. Comprised of seventh and eighth grade students, the band played two selections on stage entitled “Aldergate March” by Ralph and Jack Hale and “Tribute and Triumph” by Robert Sheldon.

The band is currently preparing to compete in April at Miami N.E.O. College and perform concerts, which include the annual Spring Concert program on May 15, 2008.

Mr. Ray Nimmo directs the band and is assisted by Mr. Joe Wilhelm.
