Martha Bwalya from Zambia will be the special guest speaker at a missions conference at the Rivers of Life building in Grove on Saturday night December 5.
The event is being hosted by Newsong Church of Grove and, according to pastor Marty Dyer is the single most important event the church does this year.
Bwalya is the first director of the Green forest School and Orphanage in Mufulira, Zambia. The GFSO is a joint ministry with Newsong Church and a sister church in Canada.
“We are excited and privileged to have her with us this weekend,” said Dyer.
The community is invited to attend this event but there is limited seating with tickets available for $20 for the meal which is being catered by Lighthouse Grill.
The menu is filet cut 8 oz sirloin or pork tenderloin, bacon cheddar mashed potatoes, vegetable medley with a house salad and fresh baked sweet yeast rolls and a special dessert from Cakes A’risen.
“It will be a first class meal in a great state of the art facility,” Dyer said.
The event begins at 6 p.m. Tickets are available by calling 786-7737 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
The kids and youth will have a great chance to spend time with Martha on Friday night at Newsong. This is open to all and it begins at 5:30 p.m. for the kids group and continues at 6:30 p.m. for the youth.
“I believe that is a wonderful opportunity to expose kids to missions in another area of the world,” Dyer said.
