The Grand Lake Association will hold its Annual Banquet and awards ceremony on Monday, November 16.

The event will be held at the Royal Bay Convention Center located at 11350 North Highway 59, just south of Sailboat Bridge.

Social hour begins at 6:00 pm and Dinner will be served at 7:00 pm.        

Oklahoma State Senator Kenneth Corn will be the special keynote speaker for the dinner. Corn was elected to the Oklahoma State Senate in 2002 at the age of twenty-five making him the second youngest state senator in the state’s history and the current youngest serving senator. 

Prior to his election to the senate, Corn served two terms in the Oklahoma House of Representatives.  He was elected to the House at the age of twenty-two which made him one of the youngest Oklahomans to serve in state’s history.

The annual GLA Banquet celebrates the successes with in the Grand Lake Association and four awards will be presented at the dinner banquet. 

A Grand Laker of the Year award will be presented to the largest promotional representative for the Grand Lake Region. 

Other awards include the Event of the Year, which will be presented to the event that drew the most business and attendance to Grand Lake; the best GLA Supporter of the Year award, which will be presented to the entity that has given the most financial and cooperative support for the Grand Lake Association, and the Volunteer of the Year Award will be given to the person that has gone above and beyond in donating their time to the Grand Lake Association.   

Tickets for the Grand Lake Association Annual Banquet are $30 each.  They can be purchased at the Grand Lake Visitor Center located at 9630 Hwy 59N. Ste B.
