The Humane Society of Grove and Grand Lake is pleased to announce that its Second Chance Thrift Shop has relocated to 33 W. 3rd Street (corner of 3rd and Grand) in downtown Grove.† Grand Opening for the Thrift Shop will be Wednesday through Saturday, April 13 through April 16, from 10 am to 5 pm each day. † Guests are invited to shop and register for the Thrift Shopís door prize daily drawing on Wednesday through Saturday. † Help yourself to coffee and refreshments to be served all four days.†
The Second Chance Thrift Shop will also be participating in the Grove Spring Open House on Friday and Saturday, so stop by the Thrift Shopís new location to register for the Spring Open House prize drawing.†
The Second Chance Thrift Shop is an unique thrift shop with a variety of wonderful merchandise for sale.† Operating hours will be Tuesday through Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm.† The shop decor changes often to display new items that arrive.† The shop is staffed by devoted volunteers, all willing to give their time to raise funds for the dogs and cats cared for by the Humane Society of Grove and Grand Lake.† If you would like to be a part of this fun and dedicated group and would enjoy retail sales, meeting people, and feeling good about making a difference in the lives of homeless animals, then the Humane Society would welcome you as a Thrift Shop volunteer.†† Contact Marion Metcalf at 918-519-6352 for more information about how you can be a part of this exciting Thrift Shop team.
And your donation of new or gently used, quality merchandise for resale in the Thrift Shop is always needed.†† Donations of quality home decor items, furniture, collectibles, kitchenware, linens, books, jewelry, and new or gently used clothing for adults and children are just a few of the items featured in the Second Chance Thrift Shop.† Donated merchandise can be accepted at the downtown location during operating hours or at the After Hour Donation Box conveniently located next to the Humane Society Shelter, two miles East of downtown Grove on Highway 10.† If there are many household items or large pieces of furniture, contact Marion Metcalf or Lori Follis at 918-801-6834 for pick up.† All donations are tax deductible.†
The Humane Society of Grove and Grand Lake is a private, non-profit no kill animal rescue organization which keeps its shelter open only through the publicís patronage and continued support.† The proceeds from the Second Chance Thrift Shop go directly to cover the expenses to care for the many homeless animals at the Humane Society.† Monetary donations are also needed and can be mailed to P.O.
