Nominations for selection to the Oklahoma Women痴 Hall of Fame are being sought by the Oklahoma Commission on the Status of Women, Commission Chair Mary Walker has announced. Guidelines for membership eligibility are:

Only Oklahoma women are eligible:

標omen who have lived in Oklahoma for a major portion of their lives.

標omen who are easily identified or have identified themselves publicly as Oklahomans.

Eligible women shall include:

標omen who are pioneers in their field or in a project that benefits Oklahoma.

標omen who have made a significant contribution to the State of Oklahoma.

標omen who serve or have served as role models to other Oklahoma women.

標omen who may be 砥nsung heroes but have made a difference in the lives of Oklahomans or Americans because of their actions.

標omen who have championed other women, women痴 issues, or served as public policy advocates for the issues important to women.

標omen who exemplify the Oklahoma spirit.

Current members of the Oklahoma Commission on the Status of Women are not eligible.

Inductees will be honored at an induction ceremony on April 7, 2011.

The Oklahoma Women痴 Hall of Fame is one of several events sponsored by the Oklahoma Commission on the Status of Women to support its mission, 典o improve the quality of life for women, children and families in Oklahoma.
