Dr. Stan Crawford, DDS, and his wife, Dr. Audrey Crawford, DDS, recently returned from a trip to Israel where they worked with their overseas ministry, “Bridges for Smiles.”
The Crawfords volunteer many hours and resources to the ministry, which brings quality dental services to poverty-stricken Israeli children.
In addition to overseas work, the couple volunteers many hours locally to the Grove Christian Dental Clinic and the Grove Schools’ H2O project.
Stan Crawford was elected to the Oklahoma Board of Dentistry for a three-year term beginning in 2007.
Dentists are elected to the board by fellow licensed dentists. It is composed of eight dentists, one dental hygienist and two public members. The mission of the Board of Dentistry is to promote, protect and provide public health and safety to the citizens of Oklahoma. Crawford will serve as one of eleven members who govern the practice of dentistry in Oklahoma. The Board is responsible for regulation of the practice of dentistry by a system of qualifications and examination. In conjunction with the practice of dentistry, the Board also regulates the practice of dental hygiene, dental assistants, and dental laboratories. Crawford also serves as Board Examiner for the Western Regional Exam Board Dental Licensure examinations across the country. He is a member of the American Association of Dental Examiners. Recently, Crawford was also a member of the American Dental Association’s Commission on Dental Accreditation team for the accreditation of the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. As a member of the team, he spent three days reviewing the University’s policies and curriculum.
Crawford also serves as a director for the Bank of Grove and serves on the Integris Grove Hospital Foundation Board.
The Crawfords have two sons, Stan and Andrew who are in College at OU, a daughter, Ellise who attends Grove Middle School, and twin boys Jeff and Greg, who attend Grove Elementary School.
