Miami, Okla. (Friday, January 09, 2009) — A free General Education Development preparation course will begin on Friday, January 16 at the NEO Grove Higher Education Center. The instructor, Leslie Maddox, will meet with students on Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. beginning Jan. 16 and continuing throughout the semester.The class will meet in Room 114.
Individuals who need to take the GED examination can prepare through this class. The class will have a minimum and maximum number of students required, so pre-registration is encouraged. Participants must be on time and in attendance every session. Daily attendance will be necessary to fully understand the skills highlighted in the course. NEO has partnered with the Vinita Regional Adult Learning Center to offer this course, which is grant-funded by the Lifelong Learning Section of the Oklahoma State Department of Education.
