TULSA – Brittany Dugan, daughter of Robert and Theresa Dugan, of Grove, recently participated in the Miss Jr. Pre-Teen Tulsa pageant competition in Tulsa.

This competition was based on interviewing skills, on stage presentation for casual and formal wear.

Each contestant was asked a question and judged on their response, poise and overall atmosphere in their presentation. The top 10 contestants were called back to stage, given a secret question in a secured envelope and the MC then opened the question and read it twice. Each contestant is again judged on their response, pose and overall atmosphere in their presentation. Personality is the number one aspect that each contestant is judged on during all phases of the competition.

As a Top 10 finalist, Brittany will represent Tulsa and the surrounding communities at the Cities of America National Competition that will take place in Orlando, FL in December 2011, this includes the all expense paid trip of five nights and six days in Orlando and the opportunity to compete at the National Level/

The Miss Congeniality Award was awarded to one contestant of the 121 competitors as voted on by her peers. They were given opportunities to meet each other during the interviewing, training sessions and dress rehearsal.

Brittany was asked, “What would you like to take home from this experience?” She replied, “I would like to make new friends and possibly take home a trophy.”

Brittany would like to thank her sponsors: Royal Acres Tree Service and Royal Chimney Sweeps as well as her friends and family who cheered her on in Tulsa at the competition and here at home.

Congratulations Brittany on a job well done and best of luck at Nationals in Florida.
