The top 20 anglers and co-anglers launched in clear skys and sunshine on the third day of the Walmart FLW Tour at Grand Lake.

Rayovac pro Jason Christie of Park Hill, Okla., starts the day in the top spot after bringing in a five-bass limit to the scales Friday weighing 18 lbs., 14 oz. His two-day cumulative weight of 40-10 has him 2 lbs., 12 oz., over second-place pro Robbie Dodson of Harrison, Ark., who finished day two with a two-day weight of 10 bass worth 37-14.

The field, which began at 147 pro-anglers, was cut to the top 20 for the start of the third day of the four-day event. Anglers are casting for a top cash award worth up to $125,000.

Darrell Davis of Dover, Fla., won Fridayís 3M ScotchBlue Big Bass Award of $500 on the pro side with a fish weighing 6 lbs., 3 oz.

Overall, Friday's catch by the 143 pro's brought in 674 bass weighing 1,900 lbs., 15 oz.. The catch included 120 five-bass limits.


In the co-angler competition, Keith Honeycutt of Temple, Texas, padded his lead with 10 bass weighing 30 lbs., 8 oz., followed in second place by Anthony Goggins of Auburn, Ala., with 10 bass weighing 28-13.

James Miganelli of Harmony, Pa., caught Fridayís 3M Peltor Big Bass weighing 5 lbs., 12 oz., in the co-angler division to win $250.

There were 470 bass weighing 1,075 lbs., 10 oz., caught by co-anglers Friday. The catch included 46 five-bass limits.
