From where to stay, to the annual Grand Lakers of the Year award, mor than 100 members of the Grand Lake Association gathered Tuesday, Dec. 3, for the annual membership banquet at theSummit at Shangri La.
Grant Wistrom, former professional football player and owner of Prudential/Grand Lake Wistrom Realty, served as the keynote speaker for the event.
Wistrom spoke about his love of Grand Lake and why he still considers it a premiere destination for travel.
During the dinner, two men were named Grand Laker of the Year. Dr. Darrell Townsend, assistant general manger of ecosystems and lake management, and Brent Davis, head of fisheries, both with Grand River Dam Authority, were presented with the award.
In presenting the honor, Tad Jones, executive director of the GLA, said the men have been instrumental in helping Grand Lake become a premiere bass fishing destination through their work with GRDA.
